It is a prize and welcoming Fall gift from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Your grand children, once again, can see you off and watch you entering the departing airplane within a few feet. Then they haul their parents to the observation deck to see you take off into the distant cloud and wave their hands to you saying Good Bye again, and keep their sad eyes wide open till the airplane disappears. With sad feeling they keep their mouth shot for next few minutes.
Pittsburgh to be first airport to allow non-ticketed visitors past security starting (it was not since 9/11) September 5, 2017. Read in the news papers soon for details.
