In Bhubaneswar heat wave temperature record was broken (47.6 degrees) in June 2012 and 131 people died just in two days of June. Warning signs of heat wave may include the high body temperature, appearance of red hot and dry skin rapid, strong pulse, headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion, and loss of consciousness. Heatrelated deaths and illnesses are preventable. The best way to protect ourselves is to be aware of the sings of stress and apply common sense. Infants, children and people age 65 and over are more prone to heat stress than others.
