Puffed Quinoa & fresh fruits – healthy breakfast recipe

Peru is a big supplier of Quinoa to USA. While visiting Machu Picchu we saw that Quinoa is served a lot with different recipes.  The following recipe all a sudden caught our attention and everybody in the group kind of liked it.  It is very easy and steps are given below. Please comment your opinions.

  1. Mix hot (or warm) milk and a couple of table spoons of Quinoa barely covering milk.
  2. Let it soak for 2-3 minutes
  3. Add small byte size fresh fruits of your choice (my favorites: Strawberry, Banana, Mango, blue berry,
    pluots, or anything you chose)
  4. Mix everything well and enjoy

Crispy Puffed Quinoa is available in Costco.com seasonally.  The Costco supplier of Puffed Quinoa  is Carrington Farms. What we found is that 32 oz (907.2g) size Puffed Quinoa is cheaper in Costco than on the supplier site.
